It snowed first thing this morning but as you can see it is rapidly thawing - thank goodness! If you look across the adjacent roof tops to Sutton Bank ( 6 miles to the east ) you will see it has a covering of snow.
Looking from one of the top floor windows, across St. James Green to the roof tops of the town centre - 2 minutes walk away.
This photograph is of the craft shop, 'Faerie Delights' - ( which is run by Mrs. Harding, a very friendly lady ), in Millgate. It has a very nicely set out window display and the shop is full of all manner of interesting greeting cards ( of which she makes many ) and a wide range of interesting items for all those who have an interest in a wide range of different crafts. Well worth a visit. Mrs. Harding will introduce you to her dog, Oberon, who is lying in the doorway of her shop ready to welcome all.

This is Millgate Bridge over the Cod Beck ( nothing to do with the fish of the same name ) just across the road from 'Faerie Delights'.

During the afternoon I drove to the Kilburn Whitehorse Car Park, 6 miles to the east and on the south western corner of the Yorkshire Moors National Park.
This photograph was taken in the Springtime as you will probably notice with the Daffodils on the right of the sign - we don't get daffodils in the Autumn time - well not yet!
From the car park I climbed up the 153 steep steps to the hill top and walked along The Long Distance Cleveland Way Footpath, past the Yorkshire Gliding Club, and to Sutton Bank Visitors Centre and then back again. This takes half an hour in each direction.
From the two photographs you can see the snow has melted away. The photograph below shows a Pawnee ex. crop spraying aircraft towing one of the gliders off along the long runway into a northerly direction.
