Middleham Castle is 24 miles west of Thirsk and is located in the village of Middleham, Wensleydale. This is where King Richard 3rd spent a great deal of his childhood.
Just finished reading The Sunne in Splendor: A Novel of Richard III and loved seeing your shots of Middleham Castle. So moving to see where Richard and Anne grew up and enjoyed their best times as adults. Though I may never be fortunate enough to visit your beautiful country, your photos are the next best thing.
