Masham Annual Sheep Fair 2013.

Masham Annual Sheep Fair 2013.
Saturday and Sunday 28th and 29th September.

Masham is an interesting ancient market town with a huge market place and is situated 14 miles west of Thirsk. It is is located at the eastern side of the Yorkshire Dales National park and is on the James Herriot (All Creatures Great and Small) dales route through Wensleydale and Swaledale. Masham is also the home of  the two internationlly well known breweries, Theastone's  and Black Sheep. I like them both - very palatable.  Both breweries have visitors centres.

Masham Sheep Fair is an annual event which is held in the month of September.
This year (2013) it was held on Saturday and Sunday 28th and 29th of September. It was a beautiful sunny weekend and there were all sorts of interesting events.

The photographs below were taken on the Saturday and are just the way that I took them. I haven't had time to do any editing. Some photographs are duplicated and will be deleted later. There are lots and lots of photographs of sheep, but then, it is an annual sheep fair. I hope you do enjoy them. If you enjoy them I do hope that you take the time to visit Masham Sheep Fair sometime in the future. It is a fun family day out.

This year (2014) the fair is to be held on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September.
